What do you get when you combine an interior designer and Chief under one roof? A bedroom English-style villa with incredible landscaping, coop an organic vegetable garden and a chicken! Isabelle Dahlin, owner of the decor and her boyfriend Brandon Boudet, which have little Cathedral, the ideal accommodation right at home in the hills of Echo Park created.

Mixing plenty of vintage and Scandinavian furniture with collected artwork, designed this House for comfort, friends and the ultimate feeling, “home.”. Isabelle and Brandon gladly, and they have certainly to do the room. Screen-it’s with a dining table outside, fireplace, a projector and film no wonder that guests (and House Tour photographers) are in awe of their space.
The House itself is a small house with only one bedroom and a bathroom. After the purchase of the home, she underwent many renovations and additions to the entire property. They built a multi-tiered backyard, the the henhouse houses, where they get fresh eggs. Brandon has middle size kitchen with classic features such as the old oven and beautiful outdoor deck with a grill for freshly grilled dishes. Isabelle required to do their painting and sculpture, a space so that they a small Studio directly from previous buildings. She told us that it is her favorite place in the world.
My three questions about Isabelle to her house:
1. What is the single most important thing in your home?
Our dogs and images.
(2) If you think to design a House is the most important part?
You have “heard” the House. Also, I always try to make the client who really think, what makes them feel not what’s currently coursing.
3. How regulations referred to in the way of life and culture in Los Angeles has your personal design aesthetic?
I’m much more free and gutsy! You can be who you are and what works for you, do without judgment. It is a melting pot of cultures every day so that I inspired! I love it here!
Apartment therapy survey:
My style: There are no rules:) design eclectic mix old and new.
Inspiration: Growing up in Sweden and my travel.
Favorite element: The high ceilings! Our House is small, but it feels so much greater due to the high ceilings. Also, our outdoor space.
Biggest challenge: A:(Schrank_und_machen_das_Schlafzimmer_Licht_fuehlen.) We have no sunlight in the bedroom.
What friends say: “When I lived here I would never leave.”
Biggest embarrassment: Our fireplace used, to the pink! We have changed it; Brandon removes the colour and at the age of the coat and then painted the
Tiles white.
Proudest DIY: Our garden! If we moved there was nothing in the back. So we is built very steeply, levels and put in a fireplace, veggie garden. Then we have built an Art Studio with a bridge before that.
Biggest indulgence: The backyard. Also, I bought this old records, we don’t really need. We racked up almost about it… Ha ha ha.
Best advice: Do not follow trends, who, what cares about rules
makes you happy!
